about

I am lamenting now for my love…he has gone and left me all alone, and wretched for ever…I am lamenting for him night and day.
A single verse was recorded by A. W. Moore in Manx Ballads and Music along with a tune, so Annie extended the words with two new verses.
This version is sung from a woman’s perspective although Moore’s version has a man as the singer.

This was originally released as a CD in 2012 by Culture Vannin
